Nice find.I buy most of my dog and cat food from Petsmart and while I'm there I'll go over and check out the fish section which never has anything nearly as nice as that Oscar.

get them that young they take to the tank no issues, 3 weeks from now a water change going to ruin his day.

well, is a bad day to be a jag fry in the peck house hold, all the jag fry are headed to feeder fish land and moving the albino/lutino to the 90g. just no market for F1 jags.

That is a nice O, wonder if the dark pattern is juvie color, and it will turn out to be a solid yellow
And sorry if this is a derail, but I had a similar experience to you Pops, back in the 80s when I had a spawning pair of jags, I would bring them to our local fish club auctions, and be lucky to get $1 for a bag of 10 or more juvies.
Then the same thing in the 90s when I had a spawning pair of haitiensus, the only way to get rid of them was to give them away, or use as feeders, I have given away hundreds.

well they split between the oscar tank and the jag tank now. none left in the 90g. moving the lutino oscar there. its been a feeding frenzy this morning. I have a few at work, going to be putting a 140 in there so not a complete loss.

Oh yes, I'm always over to the cichlids first thing, never expecting to find anything. He was in a tank with other Oscars of varying sizes and he just stood out like a sore thumb lol.

Very cool looking oscar.

Thanks Jaws, he/she is quickly becoming one of my favorites.

I've noticed when he's more stressed it turns to a gold/orange, but right back to that yellow once he finds his happy place.
