And i was just joking with you.
It's ok, I'm cool with it. Cause I've seriously never heard this saying b4 and it sounds like something else!
How did it come to be, anal means specific???:confused:lol!

i cant tell if he is eating. i put in 12 guppies and they are so small i cant tell how many are left. should i add more?

you'll see a bulge in the stomach region if he ate, compare it to your photo posted, cos he looks pretty empty in there.

also a read that goldfish and guppies arent the best fish to feed them cause of disease and lack of nutritional value.

well yea have heard it's so with goldfish, but you can pump the feeders up with nutritious food before feeding as well as quarantine

i have small 25 gal with goldfish in it now. i dont have a quarantine tank at this point. i buy the guppies from an lfs. my son likes the gold fish, but i could get rid of them and use it for the feeders. dont really want another tank at this point.

im beginning to wonder if it was a mistake to get a scomb. might be a little to much time involved to keep him healthy and happy. im also worried about the other fish. i could have a bad mix going on .

so far the arow get along fine with the rest, but he is still small. and he is more then happy with crickets and bloodworms.

but my main concern with the scomb is him not eating. or not getting the proper diet and hurting my arow.

maybe i should return him?

In your situation I probably would return it.

They are one of the coolest fish IMO, but they do have some special needs when younger.

Also the scomb is highly unlikely to ever hurt the arrow. But the aro will get huge and eventually eat the somb more than likely.

Your son won't be very happy about you using his gold fish as feeders. True that the aro will grow much quicker than the scomb. Remember to keep the lights off, they get freaked out easily.
