Got it off craigslist for a respectable price. 72 x 18 x 25 tall

Lady had it as saltwater before (wish I could've gotten pictures of what she changed to - it was spectacular). I think I'm going to do a heavily planted discus tank with it, but one thing that's bothering me is how big the overflows are. Is it possible to remove the overflows and come up with a more elegant solution? I just think they're going to take away from the aesthetic of a planted tank if they remain so large and obvious.

(Edit: she threw in a Rio 1700 pump, too, which was very nice of her!)

Here's the tank right now, stocked with catfish.

Nice pick up.....whats the stock besides the "cat" fish?...=/

you should look into putting a center bradce on the bottom of that beast and is that a custom made tank the top trim looks like 2 top trims also is it broke on the right side not trying to pick your tank apart but just a couple things i would look at gettin fixed before you put all that water in it just to have it go on the floor maybe

It will be a planted discus tank.

Why a center brace? I will take a few pictures of the bottom - the way it's constructed seems a little odd to me. The woman did have it filled all the way up until two days ago, so I'm really not too worried about the strength of the tank.

It's a Glasscages tank - she said that the top brace melted from a metal halide the very first week she had it, but it's been fine ever since. I may email the company just to check. No offense taken - all helpful comments.

now that i look closer is the tank missing the bottom brace all together

Oh, now I understand what you mean. I thought you meant like a glass brace or something.

I have the bottom brace. Just like the top, it came in two (plastic) pieces, but they slid off when moving the tank.
