Thanks everyone. Getting the Novus 3 off was a royal pain. Novus 2 was so much easier to wipe. I’m glad it looks like this. I think I’ll buff the roof a bit and call it quits. Plumbing starts this weekend. Almost there!

Exciting!

In the future use a spray bottle with water and 4 drops of dawn or similar soap. Spraying it lightly softens the #3 making it whipe off the same as #2. You get less swirls marks from #2 doing it that was because its a cleaner surface in between the compounds being used.

Finished all the plumbing today. I hope it’s all water tight. Water testing now. Feels good to put water in here.

Leak test completed. All joints, are blows, and flex PVC looking great. No issues with any bulkheads. Just two leaks at the unions that are on the ultima. Will have to **** down and re wrap with new Teflon tape.

Well done sir!!
Thank you JK47 JK47 ! Feels great to have it plumbed.

Now just have to finish putting all the parts in the sump. I have some Porte foam and new filter sock holders coming. Also will have to buy some rock and get my plants shipped in. Once there, I’ll be scaling this baby!

That’s pretty common. If a pinhole it may close on its own. A day or two usually will tell. If not pull that union off and wrap the hell out of it. I use thick grey tape. I get leaks if I use standard white tape.

Thank you. I’ll have to do that. Found a small leak at the Union for the reeflo pump. I’ll need to add more putty.

If I close all by ball valves, I can fix these leaks without draining the tank right?
