Not seen him feed yet, although had the missing endler guppy! Supplied him with bloodworm, cut up prawn, mussel and squid plus pellets.

Great looking little endli. Ya, I wasn't able to see mine eat either. It was only scavenging when lights out. Also being in a 75 gallon by itself for the first couple months didn't help either.

**** Jan. 28 @ 6" pretty slow growth really. Note: I cut the 4th soft finlet and a tiny bit of the dorsal spine to grow straighter. At least I was hoping, lol. Knowing how well they regenerate from damage #Dr.Vancouver_98683 :--) you can see the progress on last current photo.

**** March 3rd @ 7.5-8" in this pic. Probably 8.5" now for March 18, but gotta snap a recent pic. Laters.... haha. it's eating lots so I suspect growth spurt is now, lol... notice the 4th finlet is looking much better and straighter. Still showing signs of growth. Should be identical to the others.

Great post pal, thanks for taking the time, so about an inch a month isn't bad growth.
Once my little dude is 8" I will trust him in the big tank. He will be leaving the 17g to the 90g beforehand.
Hopefully before a glowlight tetra gets eaten at about 4.5", he is well under 4" ATM, similar to your first pic I would say:-)

justarn justarn you've asked for some of the traits that a captive bred can have. Slow growth from genetics is 1 of a few. It would have been a meal for something in the wild, lol. 4.5" for 5 months is slow as F_ _ K. I project this endli of mine to reach 12" on month 12 or 13, lol.... my other CB endli in the past hit at 15-16" in 12 months from 2". Hope u have better success.
