ive raised 6 for over a year now they were less than a half an inch when i got them i justed changed 50% water weekley and have had no problems at all never been sick

Give them special care...they are more fragile than discus. Any UV sterilizer with the bulbs works.
Ok,wasn't too sure on which UV sterilizer to go with actually.Is it recommended to use aquarium salt for EBJD at all?
Well,the EBJD isn't stressed at all,just active and eats perfectly fine.I only heard that aquarium salt helps with reducing diseases in the tank,including stress.

i love EBJD's but alot of them are deformed and only grow to 4 inches around here.

yo man sometimes FISH on S. Bruce.. get in some good qaulity EBJD i seen them once they were about 40 bucls.... you can get the low quality at trop aqaurium and sometimes lucky trop....
Well I think I was able to get a good purchase on a nice EBJD,even though I can't take a proper picture of the cichlid yet.I think it my opinion it was worth the 13 dollars.
