Picked up a new Giant Gourami!!

Update: He/she is still doing well! Great apetite, eats flakes, pellets, bloodworms, anything I put in there! Already looks a little plumper. I can't wait for it to start putting on size! When will I be able to tell if it is a male or a female? And how will I be able to tell??
Hey! I also have 2 golden giant albino gouramis and I make sure I don't overfeed them. You will be able to tell by the anal fin but it needs to be big.
Update: My little buddy is now about 4 inches long and still eating well. It started off at about 2-2.25 inches when I got it January 12th. Here's a pic, I know it's crappy but the little guy is camera-shy!
Wow 50 cents is a great deal, i got mine for 12$ at this place where they mistreat there fish...i still go there because they have rare and exotic ish that are hard to find else where,its called apex aquarium in culver city,CA. I rescued my guy and now hes doing great at 8inches and only eating nuts,hikari floating pellets,and no feeders!!!also he wont let anyone get next to the pacu,its like as if its his best friend.
