well he is eating cichlid bio gold as he isnt interested in the massivore? he was eating floating carni sticks in store which is basicallly floating massivore right?
any reason hikari gold shouldnt be a staple for a snakehead? being sub tropical do they require a different diet to other tropical snakheads??

Nice ornatipinnis Justin!
I also found the same thing about hikari. The channa go easier to cichlid gold than to massivore. Maybe it´s the size or smell, I don´t know.
But once they go for the c. gold.. .it´s a usually a matter of time before they switch to massivore.
However, specially now in the winter don´t feed too much. Their metabolism is slower due to the lower temps and they don´t need that much food. At 15º-16º (celsius) my bleheri were eating once a week... if.

thanks joao, got him at 20 deg atm as he was at 25 at the lfs... that and the fact my heater goes no lower and my heating is off during the day, its been about 5 deg outside so bit risky unplugging it!

few more shots, still crappy s4 camera tho!-)
