If you can ID them or try, thats cool. They are still young, so I am not to concerned since it's hard to tell. The pair was $20 and from what I am told farmed in Fla, possibly be Ocellaris but he couldn't confirm for sure. I am pretty sure they are the common ones but I am new to Cichla.

And since someone will ask, currently in a 29g tank until they are bigger and won't get eaten in the larger tank. Filtered by XP1, Biowheel HOB, and 30g rated sponge filter.

sorry bro, to small to give positive id...but of course the common mono/ocell....try again in a couple of months!!! and of course the usual bump up the temp and make sure you have good airiation

id say keep it at about 87-89* until they get a little meet on them. little cichla are pron to ick

I bumped the heater up a couple degrees, they are both already eating hours after release and the LFS just got them in for me this morning. They ate while he had them and now in my tank again. Bellies are Full.

86/87 will be good

congrats on the new pick ups..
keep tank 86-87 with young cichla to avoid diseases etc..

Thanks all.

I've got the Stealth set to about 87 right now.

Last night I watched them for a bit and the pair stick together for the most part. Very active fish, were not even bothered by me approaching.
