Updated photos, just took these pics tonight. Already moved them into my 75g by themselves aside from a pleco.

These two pics are the smaller guy, he gets chased around by the bigger one sometimes but overall doing just as good just a little smaller.

The bigger of the pair, that is just one single feeder in his belly. A rather large female guppy to be specific.

Looking forward to them getting bigger so I can ID them.

im guessing mono

I've kept my 1" ocells in between 80 and 82 degree water for 3 or 4 months i believe. Just because I'm stubborn like that and i believe that bass and most fish from the amazon dont require 90 degree water for the rest of their lives.

Now my ocells are at 5 to 6". They eat till they cant fit anymore in their stomaches and play rough with each other just like any other bass i've seen.

I dont think you always need to bump it up to 90 degrees but i would admit that you may need to if you have a lot of other small sick fish in a tank with your baby bass or if you are new to the fish hobby. that's about it though.

Um...... I don't know.......Let me think about it....
Maybe because the warmer the water the less diseases and parasites you have to worry about..which in turn equals less fish deaths.....obviously.

Since when were you supposed to put fishes that you own as your avatar?!?:screwy:

If that's the case, im wondering why you don't have pics of fish as your avatar. Actually, i'm wondering why you don't have a pic of YOUR fishes as your avatar..........hmm???? :)

It's seriously hard to understand all of your negative responses and what you're trying to prove...... I'm sure you can agree with me on that one.

Wow, I had forgotten how small they once were.

Quick update of my pair now. :)

- When I walk in the room now they dark back and forth at the surface awaiting food. I've been splashed a few times as well, they hit quick and hard. The other day I moved the temp probe and upon putting it back in the water one of them grabbed it instantly. Kinda freaked me out. They don't mess around.
