Picked up a Petsmart Red Texas, curious what it is.

These guys just popped up at my local Petsmart for the first time and I decided grab one. Ive read through a few of the prior posts about them but I'm not confident enough to id my fish yet. Any one familiar enough to let me know what I brought home?

By the way he's kind of beat up from the dominant fish in his tank at the store, there was two of them and he was the goat. Since he was going into a tank with two smaller green texas and an even smaller red tiger mota, I figured it would be better to bring the less aggressive of the two home and let him heal. So far so good.

Temperament at first was on the mean side, but seems to have mellowed a little.

wont hold the flyers thing against ya. Just bustin.

Hey man, both hockey fans and fish keepers, we can hate each other's teams and still find common ground. The unifying power of fish keeping. Best rivalry in hockey though.

Yes. Great rivalry. Can't wait for the games to start back up.

Might have to actually get rid of some fish. Probably going to get rid of my Africans. Have a salvini and BP in my sons 20 gal to see if they can make some babies for me.
