Picked up a yellow watchman!!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
If they've paired up then he should be ok. Do you ever see the shrimp eat? If so then you should be able to assume that the goby is eating as well. It may take a while for them to fully be comfortably be in the open since by nature they are skittish but should happen eventually. Good luck.

The shrimp has grabbed food from my hands, and I have seen him eat a few other times.

If the goby is dead I would I be showing ammonia in my tank?

Also, should I start looking for him, or just leave things alone.

I decided I was going to look for him since I was going slightly off the edge. I found him, alive, and alittle skinny. Any ideas to fatten him up? Also do you think I could add a second ywg in?

I brought the watchman back, I didn't see him for a month, and I found him in the same place I did last time I looked for him so I just pulled him out. Now I need something to pair with my pistol, do you think a black capped jawfish would work? I know it isn't the normal pair but I did hear of it somewhere? Would I just be better off looking for a Randall's or something?

Hard to say with any cohab it's more or less luck - I've had purple porcelain crabs that hosted btas and others that never went near them, same goes for clowns my black onyx hosted a return pipe
