Picked up my first catfish today!

What's a good number to keep? I've seen a few say 3 and I've seen 5 or 6. I guess the more the merrier :ROFL:
 
About 60 should do it :headbang2
 
Get a total of 4 for your tank they should make about 6 in. Now that you have moved up to these i would suggest you dont add fish less than about half their size-as has been said the danios are sadly doomed.

Went to my LFS yesterday and the owner is looking to get rid of the last two pitcus he had in a tank at home. I went to his house and took the two in his tank. They are both about an inch smaller than my guy.

I took them home, acclimated them and put them in their new home. Immediately my pitcus swam over to one of them and I thought he was trying to eat him. Turns out he just wanted to rub noses with the little guy kind of like two happy puppies meeting each other. No less than 15 minutes after being introduced to the tank the three had bonded and were swimming around together.

I still haven't lost a single Danio. They all stay at the very top of the tank and swim back and forth. I won't be too heartbroken if I lose one.
