Picked up my first FH today...

Free from a closing lfs
Only about 1.5" and is in a 55 grow out with a 7" silver aro and a common pleco. There is no aggro issue with the aro, there's been a tiny and I mean tiny convict in the same tank for months. The Aro will be coming out in about a month and going in with my O's. Think this arrangement will be okay until then? Too early to sex?

Does this fish show any signs of quality?

no KOK or color potential IMO but looks like it will have some nice pearls and a good flowerline. You can't win them all but hey you can't beat a free fish.

How soon do FH's show signs of growing a KOK, at fry size?

if they're going to have huge heads as adults they will show KOK when they are fry. Yours might get a KOK as an adult but doesn't show signs of one right now so his won't be great.

nuchal hump's have nothing to do with whether or not the fish is a male or female.
