I woke up today to find my little red belly around the surface and eyeless. I put him in my hospital tank immediatley. I hope he comes out of it.

i have seen this ALOT in some of the LFS around me IMO not a good thing or ate least i wouldn't buy one thats got one eye but if u didn't buy it like that they must just not get along very well

Ofcourse I didnt buy it like that. There must have abeen a little scuffle last night. But no other fin nipping or anything else. Even his tail was fine. I have yet to see them fight. they all shoal up now so I dont think its a big deal i jsut hope he will make it.

i often heard about special procedures when adding ps to your shoal. i heard all kind of things but the one that came up the most was to make a big water change or change physical space (if you have plants or drift wood) so you'll change their environment and they won't feel as territorial and accept better newcomers.

i think there is an age factor also. if your ps were all the size of the ones you showed on the pics, they weren't too old yet so that probably helped them shoal together faster. maybe a water change would have been good for your new eyemissing fish... but never experienced anything like this, just heard of...
