A local pet store here in town is getting out of fish and passed me these guys along for free yesterday.They came out of their last remaining 'show' tank...... Really great store, sad that they'll be getting out of fish..but really glad I picked these guys up:) I haven't seen this type of cat around here ever...and the severum's are one of the most docile cichlids I've ever come across.

Sorry for the bad pictures..taken with my cell with the lights off for the fish's comfort..Was only about a 10 minute drive to my place from the store, I drip acclimtized them over a long period of time and everything this morning seems to be going well:)(Moonlights are still on but..everyone's active ect)

I'll post more soon:) He's in a 130 gal right now with those severums..had to do a massive fish move around lol...He's about 16" maybe-ish? He's a good decent size...I gotta start looking ASAP for a larger tank for these guys..hard to find around here:(

I'll take more pictures tonight when I can turn some lights on:)haha
 
Unique looking fish and from the pictures it looks like you have a monster on your hands.
 
looks like a clarius cat or 'walking' cat. illegal in the US I believe, but see em in Canada quite a bit. nice pickup!
 
Yeah he's a pretty big boy/girl:) I've NEVER seen one in a local pet shop up here..(Northern ontario-ish) Canada..why are they illegal in the U.S?I read a little bit about that online .
