Well it turns out that the whole esox family, pike,muskie, and pickerel, are illegal in California and listed as deteremnatal to the ecosystem if potentialy released. Permits aren't issued to keep them either. This is another case were a few ruion it for all of us. Well bad news for does keeping esox in california you got an illegal pet, and iam out of a dream.

A lot of fish,etc seem to be illegal in CA .
