pickerel weed

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
:ROFL:Thats funny i had thought about that. I tried waking out there and sunk about a foot in the mud almost lost my shoes.

Tropical pickerelweed Pontederia rotundifolia L. f. is on the Noxious Plant list http://plants.usda.gov/java/profile?symbol=PORO12 and is a Prohibited aquatic plant, But I'm sure you have the Pontederia L. that isn't, right?!;)

If you can't reach those cattails, go down the road half mile... there should be another pond .

Don't forget your womping stick for the snakes-n-gators too :D.

I just love Florida :nilly:

I'd be in the ditches then, don't like snakes.

I went to Southern IL. University, plenty of Copperheads and Water Mocks. that I have filled my lifes quota. Don't need to be bothered by anymore snakes.

Thats funny i grew up in southern IL and there are definitely plenty of water mocs in the ditches. We would catch them all the time to young and stupid at that time to realize they were so dangerous its amazing no one ever got bit. And for the alligators im not to worried about them my sons deathly afraid of them though:nilly:.

Spent a week just a little west of Champaign this summer beating the weeds and never saw the first anything ('cept birds and corn/soybeans), fish were even scarce :(.

Maybe I should just consider myself lucky! :D
