Where did you find such a prehistoric artifact?

I had no idea this ancient relic existed. Should be in a museum :)
Clovis Antiques. On Polasky St.

There are 6 antique and 2nd-hand shops within 3 miles or so. There are lots of old tube equipment for sale.

Check out radiomuseum.org for some fun.

As it turns out this little amplifier is better than I thought.

First off, I had two of the speakers phased backwards, and when I fixed that it definitely made a difference.

The other thing is, one of the pickups on the Schechter wasn’t working because of a balky switch. I put some deoxit in the switch and played with it a while.

When it started working that nearly doubled my output to the amplifier.

It went from a quiet mouse to a real squawker.

This amplifier was running four tiny speakers, the largest pair was about the same size as the 1961 Zenith tweeter.

But the leather is going on now.

That’s white South Asian water Buffalo hide, dyed black and sewn into a Pakistani motorcycle jacket. (Sold by Bikers Dream Inc.) It used to fit me when I was 70 pounds heavier than I am now.

Those were the sleeves, and the tu-tone effect is due to the fact that we have pebbled back leather stitched to wrinkly belly leather, giving a very nice effect.

I have almost finished this guitar I customized. This was a $20 wreck of an Ephiphone Les Paul Special. The head was smacked up, tuner missing.

Wax oozed from the pickups.

Inch-thick poly covers the Gibson-shaped plywood body. I left the edges alone as they were good enough and, it’s plywood.

The baby Strat I bought for my granddaughter. It looks so cute next to the bass.

Inside is this awful speaker and this sweet little 5 watt class A tube amp.

It had been sloppily repaired, and I removed that messy can & pink wires, then cleaned up the modernized guts.

I moved the power cord to the back, cleaned up the internal wiring & added a guitar jack & a red jewel for the pilot.

This is a lovely Korean copy of a Gibson, and it plays beautifully.

My favorite bass was made for me in the late 70s by luthier Robert Pascoe, still have it, but the salt air and humidity here in Panama have made in unplayable. Used it on gigs with Mary Wilson of the Supremes, to Don Rickles, may both RIP, to Al Vissutti , and the Drifters.

Hey Duane, are you by any chance Daryl’s brother, the lead guitarist for Phil Collin’s (Genesis)?
