I'm not going to argue that a Cerge reactor is the best, but as I stated Cerge's style reactor is known to need a high gallons per hour rated canister filter because of what's known as flow back caused by the design. But for those of us on a limited budget don't have the money to invest in a high GPH rated canister filter, and because of being on a limited budget I decided to go with a Rex Grigg's style reactor for my 55 gallon tank.
