Thanks! This will be my first time having this type of monster. How long does it normally take for those guys to get to 12 inches? I haven't talked to the owner in detail about it yet but I'm trying to get an idea of how old he is.

That is one sexy "Creamsickle". "Piebalds" are Midas that have only half peeled. Great catch for sure.

Haha... I'm not quite sure I understand what being half peeled means but I'm definitely happy with the find! Thanks! I was very blessed to say the least... the ad I found him in was several weeks old.

Glad you found him. Peeling is when a Amphilophus looses it's barred pattern and becomes colored. A piebald is a amphilophus that stops the process half way through.
