Bad news. I just lost the skinnier of the two to a gill problem that the meds couldn't fix. Life sucks at the moment. twenty year old fish. Worst thing for me in fish keeping is losing a big loach

so sorry for your loss..really sucks. i lost a 4" c/l a few weeks back i think it was also having a gill probelm..was your c/l's gill really red and heavy breathing?

that'd be it. salt and heat no help and malachite formalin no help either. still scratching the head over this one. I´m suspecting gill worm infestation but still not sure
