I just got a kamfa a couple days ago and he eats blood worms very easily, but is very hesitant towards pellets. Is there anyway to get him to eat them? I even have a female ZZ in the tank who eats them and basically shows him its good but he still gets up close and just ignores it.

For a starter, stop feeding BW. Your fish isn't going to convert to pellets if he doesn't have to.

Pre-soak your pellets in BW juice, and eventually he'll figure it out. Once he starts eating the pre-soaked pellets consistently, stop pre-soaking them.

He is just settling in. Mine didn't eat for three days when I got him, now he fills his mouth up with food it stocks out, don't worry, he is just settling in.

yo greg one thing i heard about that worked really good with my RD is garlic. He wouldnt eat any of the krill i put into the tank, but I bought a jar of 'minced garlic' from harris teeter and put a spoon full of it into the package of krill and let it sit in the freezer for a day, and now he will eat the new krill instantly. put a spoonfull of chopped garlic into a container and put a handful of pellets on top so they merinate in it so to speak.

Starve him...don't feed him for 2 days and turn the temp up to 83-86 Fahrenheit. Feed him pellets again after that, if not. Feed him blood worm and then starve him again. But add up the days by 1. But from what I've seen, not always guarantee. So garlic flavored pellets may work real well.

So currently letting ching mix head booster, color enhancer, grand sumo red, hikari pellets, 2 blood worm pellets and a teaspoon of garlic. Hopefully its the super concoction for the new fh.
