Is anyone else's rtc x tsn a picky eater? I noticed now I got my hybrid eating pellets he's been picky and will only take that.

Mine was like that at first. Now he's doing the opposite. When I first got him. He ate trout worms out my hand. Then I started stuffing the tilapia with carnivore pellets witch he stopped eating all together. For the past few days he's been eating the nls and carnivore pellets I feed my green terrors.

Mine is a reluctant eater when I give pellets and an aggressive eater when I offer pieces of shrimp and fish. Eats either way but obviously has a preference.

I'd say this describes mine. I'd never say though they are picky or fussy. Could it be that you are overfeeding? When their tummy goes flat is a good time to feed and by then they usually are ready for most foods (if healthy).

Mine use to take floating pellets even when he was very large. Was kind of funny to see such a big fish gently eating one tiny pellet at a time lol. Of course he could eat several bags of floating cichlid pellets if I let him so usually I did pellets, then shrimp, then fish fillet.

I'm positive im not over feeding. I feed once in the morning for my green terrors witch is the pellets and once at night witch used to be tilapia or trout worms. Now he eats at both feeding. He will wait till I turn on the light and feed my green terrors. Then eat their food and go hide in his cave and doesn't come out until night time when he knows more food is on the way.

Necro I was laughing the first time I seen him take the pellets. I could imagine what a big cat like your avatar looks like eating small pellets.

Oh I forgot to add that there were several instances where mine went on hunger strikes. Sometimes for months. Then magically one night he'd start scarfing food again.

I think mine went on a worm strike lol. I dropped a worn in to see if he'll take it. When it floated in front of him he toke a bite I guess to taste it and spit it out.

mine used to eat everything.and anything but now at almost 10 inches hes just eating pellets only if they land near him and frozen krill,is what gets him swimming at the glass and smells it asoon as it hits the water no intrest in feeders, loves id sharks tho.

Mine is about 8" and will only take the pellets. I think it might be the smell that gets his attention or he just gotten used eating then more fleshy food.
