No, they're common around here, and not tatooed.

Do you have a scientific name on them? What part of South America do they come from?

I imported fish from SA for a while and never saw anything beyond the black-bar SD's and the common variants..

Miles, the closest Ive found is Metynnis Luna, though all the pictures of them look quite different from my fish.
