Gage has a thread with pics over on CF. But the pics are from the first day, and the ocelli ring look white rather than red. Hence why I put the 's around noto. Plus he said Spencer got them from Colombia, though I hear tell people are smuggling Rio Negro fish up into Colombia to export to get around those new Brazilian laws.

Ya, I went over there and checked out the thread, I know that they were ordered and invoiced as Noto's, but, you know as well as I do that things aren't always as they should be LOL Spence told me that there was a mix in there, I can't confirm or deny that. There were a couple really small females that look a bit different, the occeli is still really tiny. I will have to go check them closer this weekend :D I am not sure that they were Columbia, I have asked him to get confirmation from the exporter.

Yeah, becuase neither regani nor noto's come from Colombia, though there are a couple of noto look-a-likes from there (cf. noto, orinoco dwarves). But regani aren't from even the Rio Negro, so that one is even more puzzling. I do love that female you posted of the regani though. Really wish I had already moved up into BC by now. *lol*

HAHAHA - no worries, I keep pushing him for more cool SA's, including pikes :D Maybe you can join the "Canadian" contingent at ACA in Milwaukee!

Gawds, I'd both love to have made it up there and make it to the convention by then!! *l* But since you can't work for 3 months after moving there, might make it tough. Hopefully by the time I make it, Spencer will bring more of those regani in. Lots of red for a regani type.

I was pretty shocked when I saw the females flashing at eachother. They don't seem to mind the ph above 7, so, maybe I will chuck a cave in there and see what happens ;)

Would love to meet up with you there! would be awesome!

Brazil, not sure of collection location. . . they aren't giving out the minor details LOL

Yeah, a lot of people are starting to keep their collection sites to themselves, especially the Brazilian ones due to the restrictions. The problem with that is all these species that have differant populations, like lents or regani.

Sweeeeet, so lucky!! I know a lot of people that have wanted the Tapajos regani for Orangehead biotopes.
