Great looking male, In most lugubris pikes you wait on the white sub-marginal line on the dorsal for females or the "classic" herringbone marking on it`s side for
males. And yours definately exhibits the herringbone quality. Some might be fooled to believe it`s a female because of it`s big belly, but that just comes from good eating. Again, good-looking pike. Later.......Keith

Loverly!! You might wanna invest in a royal pl*co though...haha!! It does appear to be a male, although, things can change, so give it a few more inches and you will be able to completely confirm that!

Tank is a 90.......when this Lugubris starts getting nasty to my Sax then ill seperate them.Peanut,i have 9!! plecos,this algae is thick and wavy,like black beard algae.Only way to eradicate is with a fresh straight edge razor.Was to lazy to do said task before pics were takenThese things live a good number of years,so ill keep yall posted on its way to 12+"!!
