thinking of puting just a jag or just a green terror in my tank can i get some pics so that i can decied

yep mine has no longer any tank mates,,,,,he started to go crazy so i rehoused,,,,,now he lives alone,,,just finished a waterchange on his tank,,my syphon bore the brunt of the attack
 
yeah i heard that they get mean but i was thinin of put n one in a 75 that i am getting at the end of this week and i just need some advise on what to feed them what do the like in there tanks as far as hides or plants but i heard they will even tear up your fake plants but i just need to be put on the right track to take care of a jag

Ime they're not excessively mean but sure don't take any crap either though. A 75 gallon isn't enough tank to house a male Jag for life but will do for a while. They can be picky or stubborn when it comes to feeding but be patient and train them to eat cichlid pellets. I would stay away from live feeders completely or that's all they'll ever want. Trying to keep plants would be a lost cause I think. My Jags have always moved sand and rocks around quite a bit mostly pushing all the substrate to the sides of the tank. They are quite personable fish and one my favorites even though so common.
 
yeah that is what i heard about them and they would be a cool fish to have but i just want to house him for like a year and a half so that i can get the money to get a 125 together
