Yeah, less light and a UVS would work for keeping algae blooms in check, but since it appears from the comments to be tannins they would have zilch effect.

Not a thing wrong with tannins except some don't like the look.

Yes, nice fish... I can't wait to see the multiple 180's and/or larger tanks when those fish mature and need their own tanks.
