Very nice. The volitan will need something larger than the 40 breeder. IMHO at LEAST a 75. However, your 29 looks great.

thanks. dont tell my wife that... if I have the tank for long enough she will let me upgrade again to a 50 breeder or 75 (50 breeder is like a 75 just short as a 40 breeder) I am getting my first sps tomorrow can't wait to see how it does. I am getting the volitan into another tank soon as I can. if it takes too much longer I will just trade him in, but it's so hard to when he comes up and greets you when you come up to the tank

Cool little tank, i would love to do another tank but maybe smaller like a 20-25gal. Would love to have a lion as well but i'm stupid, just know i'll get stung!!!

I'm trading it in tomorrow ): I don't have room for him and I want more small fish that would be interested in my coral. lol

Nice aquarium it looks good!

thanks. I just added 2 sps corals and moved all my rocks around to put one part up 5 inches from the surface for more light on the sps and lps coral. i'll post pics when the water clears back up.

Glad to see you are trading in the Lionfish. It really would have needed much more room than that long term, and a 40 breeder would not have done anything positive for him either. I know it sucks to realize that after you have become attached to a fish, but it's the most responsible to do, so good choice! Your tank looks great as well! One suggestion I might make is that you open up your rocks a little more. It looks like you have several varying pieces that could proove to work well for stacking and creating little coves and ledges. Not only will this provide your new fish with ample territory and shelter, but it will also increase the circulation in your tank, and reduce the amount of detritus which can gather in dead spots when rocks are clustered too tightly, which can result in decaying matter spiking the ammonia and nitrates. So far it looks good though, and you said you were playing with it some more, so please keep us informed and update with new pictures as you go!

thanks. I like it. I bought it from many different places. bermuda triangle, fish mania, petco(don't buy from them it was stupid), and a couple people selling some rock. I really like the rock I got from a guy from the reef forum I go on named tommy. he gave me the best deal out of everywhere and it was the best rock with the most good life.
