I have an L240 Galaxius in by planted tank who was stressing out a 4" male bristlenose (Ancistrus SP) pretty bad so I redid a 20G I've had running for a while, added him & two 3" females. I was hoping they would breed down the road but on day 7, I had eggs! Seems to be 20-30 fry in there right now.
:headbang2

The tank has a weak but well established UGF and a HOT Magnum. To keep the fry from getting sucked up into the filter, I put a polishing filter cartridge inside a media bag and tried it over the inlet tube of the filter.

I am pretty happy with this setup. It's simple but works, let me know what you think.

That is nice, JK47, I love the look of lil pleco's. I might be interested in buying some when they get bigger.:)

hehe congrats mate, thats it now, you will never stop them again, hehe i just sold well over 100

Thanks everyone!! I have never bred anything before, even the kids were an accident! :naughty:

So how long do you all think until the fry will be able to move onto tanks of there own?

If you live near Portland OR and can pick up, I will happily give any member of MFK thier pick of one for free so long as you know what your doing. PM me if you want one...

usually the dad will kick them out. once he does then u can raise them ur self a bit with the parents around giving them greens and wafers, then at 1" u can move them to there own tank.
