usually the dad will kick them out. once he does then u can raise them ur self a bit with the parents around giving them greens and wafers, then at 1" u can move them to there own tank.

Thanks for the advice! I'll do that then. I have an established old 55 that I am building a stand for to use as a grow out. I should be done by Thursday and I'll post pictures of the setup once it's done.

This is cool! So I have had a male/female pare of swordtail for over 2+ years. The 20G I setup for the BN came from this pair's old tank. They have never spawned until now? I don't know the day but while trying to feed the BN, I saw fry in the tank above!

I know both species are easy to breed but when you have never done it before, it's pretty cool to see! Pics below if you want to see. Sorry, had tpo share!
