I used to travel all over the Midwest picking up fish. Get in good with the owners and they show you their secret stash. Even did a round trip to ChinaTown in New York City to pick up cheap fish. Ended up buying 9 Bowfins at around 20" plus for $9.00 each. Beautiful specimens.

When I used to live in Ohio. Bought them right around the time of the Ban.
"OCT, 2002" Gave my channas away and decided to keep the Redline Snakeheads. Grew them to around 2' plus. Someone eles has been taking care of them for the last three years. I got a call this week saying the second one got out. By the time they found him, it was too late. The week before that, the other one got out. Thought they had it secured. But they still found a way out.

OH, alright. Much clearer now.

Since living in CA, I have been back in the hobby for about 8 months now. Love the variety out here, even if there are more species on the invasive list. Make due with what is legal. Lover of all fish.
