Pics of my new Aussie Lungfish

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Wow! Aussie lungfish? Any chance of getting these in Australia? I wouldn't mind one myself, but the thing is IMO Aus has alot of bans when it comes to fish. I don't see too much variety of fish here, well in Sydney anyway.

I envy you guys...........argh

They are a protected species in Australia. It is illegal to fish for them, and they must be released if accidentally caught. You can only keep one with a special permit.

I was offered 2 last year at $400 each, but turned them down as I personally don't find them that interesting. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but they don't do much, and only lay around like a log right?

They don't just "Lay Around Like a Log!" I'm so Offended! :banhim:

LoL, I have African, South American and Albino African (Thanks to AfricanMan and FishRoomPlus) and they are pretty active. Feeding is always fun and over time, Like Oscar's they do get a really cool character. They know when I'm in the room, Feed from my Hand (Only the African) and they follow me when I'm on the phone walking back and forth in front of the their tanks!

:topic: Sorry!
