I always thought I had a good sized pond until I found this site and now it dwarfs in comparison. :D I finally took some updated pics. Here is one right after I added some plants.

Here are some recent ones. The pickerel weed has taken off and all the Azolla is now gone as well as the Hyacinth, thanks to my fish and the plec I recently found alive.

Pond and garden looks great.

Very cosy hideaway from the world. What filter system are you using?

Thanks guys!

I thought i had about 12-14 fish but after doing a head count with that pic, there seems to be more like 18-20. As they grow bigger, I plan on trading or selling at least 5 of them cause I don't really want more than what my bio-load can handle.
I'm using a Laguna Power Flo Filter Falls. I've pretty much jusr filled it up with lava rock inside. I also have another 50g plastic drum that I may use if needed.

Since I have a barebottom pond, should I vacuum out all the sludge and detritus on the bottom or just leave it?

Should help:D

Nice pond!

Thanks for that link! Right now, I just been scooping out what I can with a large fish net. Having all goldfish, and knowing they are poop machines, I now all that sludge is no good.

You should try some natives. They are so much fun.
