Pics of my Rainbow Cichlids

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Thank you. Actually on day 3 the male rainbow ate the eggs :( but I hope they try again soon. They are the vibrant yellow most of the time but they can switch to the duller brownish yellow for seemingly no reason but that doesn't usually last more than a day. Even then they look good IMO. I also have a red severum an L200 so I want to wait until I get a bigger tank before I get more. Oh I also have Colombian redfins as dithers but thinking of getting rid of them they make my tank look too busy.

I almost said you should just get rid of the pleco (I'm personally not a fan) but then I looked up the L200 and that is a neat looking fish! I think you could still get away with 2 more rainbows, 5 is typically the minimum group for those guys. If you plan on upgrading soon you should be OK, but they should be alright if you wanted to wait.

It's not unusual for the male to eat the eggs the first few tries. They'll be at it again and will figure it out. ;)

Took me years to find the L200 that boy isn't going anywhere :). I am not a huge pleco fan but there are a few I really like. These guys don't get too big so should be fine. I figure they will be going again before I know it. I am in no hurry though. I think my leucustic HRP's in my other tank are getting ready to go for it.
