I'm not sure about the whiteness in the red devils over time... The person who originally had my red devil said that it came from Rapps and was an F1. It's def not an albino as far as I know.

How can i treat the red tail catfishes gill curl??? Does improper water chemistry cause the problem?
Not sure if this applies to catfish...
But with jardini arowana.. their gill cruel because of not enough tanks space...
When a tank's "width" is too small for the fish.. their gills will cruel overtime....
i could be wrong with catfish.. but i do know that Jardinis have this problem..

nice rd and i do believe gill curl is caused by both bad water conditions and a lack of swimming space.. Big cats like that need lots of space (like round 500 gallons per foot) or else they could get ENARDO syndrome.
I think its common in smaller redtails, I would do heavy water changes, what size tank did he come out of?
