Thanks man but we got the system and hooked it up yesterday! If we can get this fuel issue worked out, we might be on the water tomorrow! :headbang2

UPDATE:

Well weve put about $400 into the boat so far including the new steering system that works great. We also went ahead and lubed the lower, replaced most of the wires in the motor as they are getting a little dry rotted. Also we replaced all the vaccum tubes.

New problem:

I think we are getting air into the new fuel lines. The motor wont start when it is hooked up to the tank, it just pours a bunch of gas in and wont start. However, if we unhook the fuel tank the motor will run for several minutes until the fuel that was poured in burns out. If we plug the fuel line in when the motor is running, it will instantly stop. Any ideas what could be the issue?
sounds like floats in the carbs

I did a google search of "floats in the carb" and I found the exact problem we are having where the bowl is filling and over flowing with fuel. It does look like a good carb cleaning is in order. Thanks again!

so your gonna do some commercial works? gill net or cast net
either way when you re work the decking make sure to make ample storage for it !

I took the boat out today! Boat ran really good. I think we need to tighten the throttle linkage as we never got it to really open up. Anyhow we took it out on the river and it was pretty daunting as 40ft Yachts were going by! She handled the water well. No leaks. After cruising on the river a bit we took the boat about two miles up a creek just enjoying the scenery. All in all today was just checking out the boats quirks. Next weekend it should be FISH ON!

No drinks on this trip. We wanted to make sure everyhting worked perfect before we decide to bring a few cold ones on board.

We made the mistake of launching at one of the wealthiest boat clubs on the Ohio River and Sundays are their big party night. There were scores of boats every where! Im talking 30-40 footers, cigar boats, cruisers, pleasure boats, yachts, ect. It was like Spring Break at lake havasu (spelling) for rich people! The scenery was very very nice I may add.

An awesome place for boat info is www.iboats.com. If you have any issues you can get it figured out there. The boat looks like it's going to be a hell of a lot of fun. Sounds like you got a kick ass deal!
