dang.. if my guy ends up looking as good as your female I will be stoked lol, nice jag Jc

Thanks man! She's a beast for sure. One of my favorite, although misunderstood, fish lol

Your male should heal up nicely. Nice pick up.

Nice looking jag he's a beast , bit of salt or melafix his fins will heal up quick enough

Good looking Jag either way whether it's a Male or a Female. Once it settles in and relaxes it should color up nicely and be an awesome looking fish, congrats.

Nice jag.....looks about the same length and full bodied as mine.. Like to see your updates on how it looks once settled in and healed and how much its pattern changes...If possible take pics without the flash to show his colors best... Welcome to the world of Jags...

You have yourself a male. The pattern, body lines, & fins give it away. Either that or its the butch of the female jag world.
It’s took a pretty good beating. A couple of big wc’s a week for a couple months should have him healed up quickly. That chocolate is just established in that tank is the only reason for that. I wouldn’t risk my choco like that, because once that jag settles in it will be lights out unless you’re lucky enough to get a tolerate one.

so far this guy seems pretty tolerant but its still early. He has flared up at my Paratilapia Bleekeri a few times bit no chasing or fighting, so far so good but I will be keeping an eye on them. Not sure how it will go with the re-intruduction of the chocolate yet.

That is definitely a MALE Jag.

He is incredibly stressed out looking which is why the vertical bars are so prominent and his colors look so bad.

But I can tell you with certainty that when he is back to health, well fed, his fins heal up and he is comfortable and happy, he will be absolutely beautiful. I can see it under all that stress. He will be GREAT looking! :)
