Ha ha ha thanks man, the link was a nice touch too! It took forever to get the first post done then after I clicked post thread I shut the internet page before it had loaded. When I went back to the forum it still wasn't up there so I sat there&made another one, then posted and BAM-right under it is the original thread:screwy:

cool jd and nicee midas.

sweet oscar. love your setup.
how big are all the fish? i had a similiar setup in a 55 once upon a time ago....:(

Thanks for the comments guys!
The trimac is a beast already (funnily enough i decided the other nite that he should be named beast!) I have never seen a fish grow as quick, not oscars, jags, dovii, red devils not even our little pink giant gourami! Him and the sal(im pretty sure its a female sal) split their time between building forts and defending from the other cichlids in the tank and beating each other mercilessly.
The jd is a beautiful fish, he lost his mate not long ago and since then rarely comes out of his cave, and when he does he usually gets in to fights with the trimac..
We got the trimac from an lfs in newcastle, unfortunately thats newcastle NSW australia!
Anyways thanks again for the comments guys, keep em coming...

The oscar 10 inches, the trimac 4 inches, the jd 3.5 inches, the salvini 2.5 inches, the red devil 6 inches and the dovii (in my annoying second post) is about 4.5 inches..

Is that a dovii liplocked with the JD? With the red eyes?

That's a nice mix you have, hope it works long term. I love trimacs, I'm hoping to get another tank and have a semi-peaceful SA tank and an aggressive CA featuring a trimac among others.
