I believe only Albino has health problem, due to line breeding. I may be wrong, but I believe the blue is selective breeding between red and black, so there's shouldn't be health problem.
i dont know. i have never heard of a albino dobby until now, so i couldnt have confused them, although maybe i was just misinformed. thanks for clarifying!

Who said I never heard that question before?:ROFL::ROFL:

You just aren't making sense. What if the dog was Leucistic? that is why i was asking if it was a true albino. Stop trolling, thanks.

Wow...I didn't expect to see a albino doberman especially as a sire of a litter. But yes, the albino dobermans are riddled with health problems and issues, as they age it becomes increasingly difficult for them to be exposed to sunlight. The Doberman Pinscher Club of America keeps a list [the Z-list] of dogs with the mutant genes.

Blue/Rust dobermans are a dilute of the Black/Rust doberman. While the Fawn/Rust doberman is a dilute of the red doberman. Both also have health issues mostly associated with their coat. You also may want to check out "Blue Doberman Syndrome". Some see significant hair loss while some retain their coats. They can be described as more wirey variant of the Black and Red dobies.

Nice dobermans!

i tend to agree with the theory about the blues and fawn colors...

HOWEVER...the albinos are no different that the rest IF KEPT properly like they are suppose to since they are sensitive to light as they get older....

I have 2 and the sire to the litter is 4 and have limited exposure to sunlight since him and the rst of my dobermans are inside dogs...where they are the most effective in guarding :D

Both my white males do not have skin issue or any other health issues currently...all my dobies get omega 3 suppliments daily and get bathe once a week...they get their exercise daily and get fed nothing but the best (SCIENCE DIET NATURE"S BEST). they get their annual check ups and are all trained...

Was and is this alot of work...YEP...but it is all worth it and no one should be getting a dog if he or she doesn't want to accept the responsibilities...

The puppies will be placed in good home ONLY and just like last time I will be screening new owners and probably will be telling some "you're not the type to master a doberman, sorry"

THANKS to all for the nice comments...i belong to doberman rescue and seen some messed up thing from stupid arse people...i rescued 2 dobermans and both are some of the best dogs around...:)

THE breed is the best out there :headbang2

Congrats and good luck :) But I wouldn't bathe them so often. I've given my boy maybe 4 baths in his lifetime and he's 2.5 [but he is a blue] You may want to give apple cider vinegar a try during their next bath too, it helps. Also, you may want to look into some other kibble. Science Diet is about the same quality as grocery store brands, feel free to compare the ingredients. I feed Innova Evo Red Meat and Dozer loves it and does well plus you can't help but love a grain free kibble. :headbang2And you're certainly right. A doberman isn't a dog for everyone. They can be stubborn and a tad dominant. Now if I could just convince Dozer that his bed is more comfortable than mine ;)

Beautiful dobbie, and science diet is poop, I feed my dogs Blue Buff and Nutro

beautiful blue dobie...my blue past away last year...probably the best dog I ever had the pleasure of owning...

I have no problem bathing them and my oldest is 4.5 yrs old...never had a skin problem, not even the blue or the whites (also get bath once a week) so it is not correct that you can not bath them often...their coats are just as shiny as any other dogs...AND they always smell CLEAN...you just have to know which shampoo to use...

Science diet is not poop...it is good food and everyone has his or her opinion...i'm not feeding pedigree or other grocery store brand. I had 2 great litters from my dogs feeding on science diet and it is recommended by rescue groups and vets alike. is it marketing, probably but why would so many people back them up if the food is crap?????? think about it....:)

I'm not defending Science Diet. I am saying that my dogs dont have skin or health issues (even the whites) and they all are on the same diet. are they over priced...heck yeah hahaha, but hey i have no problem buying it at all so i choose to use it...i'm sure there's food that's just as good as science diet for less...that's great...people can feed those brands and i wouldnt comment on their feeding preference and I EXPECT PEOPLE TO KEEP THEIR PREFERENCE ON FOOD TO THEMSELVES....;)
