Thanks! The salvini is only a lil over 4 inches. I have heard of some getting 7". I'm not holding my breath but I really would love to see that.

WOW! That is a big salvini if it is bigger than 7". I kind of figured that he was a male by the shape and length of his dorsal fin. I hope he lasts long enough to at least get close. My wife and I may be moving out of state though in May 2010 so we probably would not try to move the fish with us and just start the tank over when we get moved and settled. But he still has some time to get closer. I will have had him a year this December. What is the biggest salvini anyone has ever seen?
Yeah, the argenteas are nice and I'd never heard of them till I got this one by accident. I thought it was a smaller black belt and the guy at the fish store must have thought that too cause he didn't correct me, and instead of charging $19.99 for it which was the argentea price he charged me only $7.99 which was the black belt price. SCORE!!!
