yep. thats where i am, and theyre illegal

i feed it pellets, shrimp, and algea wafers
 
just be aware that they have the potential to reach 5 feet in captivity :P

thanks for the concern about the payara and the legality of my fish


but i watched the payara last night for a few hours and this morning he seemed fine. i was concerned on that issue myself. id much rather have him in a larger tank but i was misinformed on his size before the purchase, he was supposed to be 10"s and able to be in with the big guys. so hes here for now.

as for the legality issues, california fish and game is beyond lax in this area and i am highly conifdent that i am way past in the clear in that area. call me retarded for playing with fire, but im honestly not concerned

yeah unless from some oddity in genes it stunts the fish.. Sorta like a liger which loses the gene to tell it when to stop growing(so it's the largest cat) but reversed.. :ROFL:
