It is possible to get fish hybrids in the wild, but it would be unimaginably rare. More rare than platinum, melanistic, leusistic, or albino fish. Near impossible, but not quite impossible. There would be no way to tell if it came from the wild unless you could actually track where the fish are comming from. If the vendor is getting them from asia like most hybrid catfish then it's about 100% likely it's manmade. If it came from South America then it's still probably about 99.9999999% likely to be manmade. As far as I can tell most of the hybrid catfish come directly from asia.

Can you post a link to a true wild caught catfish hybrid that you have seen for sale from a reputable source?

I guess a unicorn could be possible, like the catfish hybrids, but I have never see one.
