i used to have the razr v3x. i found the motorola software some of the easiest to use next to nokia.
put the cd in the computer and it will run through the install process. once that is done it might tell you how to go about it. if not connect the lead to the pc then put the other end to the phone. now you have to sync them.
double click the software icon and if i remember right top left of the software window it should say connect. click that then click connect. if it doesnt work look in one of the other options, tools maybe, for the COM PORT setting. click that then look for the COM PORT that has * next to it. click that then try connect again.
it should work.
if you get stuck the help menu is really good on the motarolla software, very easy to use.
the easiest way to move info to and from the pc is a micro SD. put the card in the phone, transfer data to the card, then put the card into an SD adaptor so it fits into a card reader and done. no software or cables needed.

i remember my first LG and it had a vga camera that took really bad quality postage stamp sized photos. but it was one of big guns in its day. i think back and laugh at the amount of memories i could have had if i had just spent £2 on a disposable camera.

if it was a new phone and its under 1 month old then speak to the shop and they have to give you the complete product that you paid for. more than 1 month and you wont have come back as you could have lost the disc. but ask if they have a spare one lying around.
all new motorolas come with the disc. every box should contain 1 phone, one battery, 1 battery cover, pc lead, charger, head phones and a couple of books (1 thick and 1 thin).
*oh and if you ever break or lose your charger just plug the pc cable into the pc and attach the phone and it will charge it up.
Got all those, except the ****ing disc! Is there anyway of troubleshooting the disc off the pc? My mum had the same problem, my pc gave up with her camera and she had program the disc from the comp! I hope this makes some sense, I get confused with all this electronic stuff!

try to be calm about it. electronic stuff isnt that difficult. from experience with my parents, electronic devices are complicated because people think they are and so they make them more complicated than they actually are.
just think about what you did logically and step by step, dont try to go into computer speak because it will just get you confused like your above post. just speak in language you understand.

My mum found a site where you could download a disc onto the fone and she was able to use the cam!
