that fishmarket is shame to the human race.. tourists - don't visit! Its kind of like going to a bullfight in spain - torture the animals for the pleasure of man

IMO they're not the same at all. people from all over the city come there to get their food, a lot for restaurants. that's how they are able to make money and get food. in a way, it kind of runs the food market in tokyo. its not there for the tourist part. even a few years ago they tried to ban tourists from even visiting the market because some people were posing in pics where they were pretty much on top of the giant tunas for sale, pissing off locals.

Yeah I don't get what's wrong with it if ppl are going there to buy fish to cook. It's not like they've got these fish in a big pond being shot at by tourists for fun.
