Those Salvini are smokin'! There is a school of thought that overcrowding works well with Central Americans, like they do with Africans. I've never tried it, but your fish look healthy so far. Keep us updated.
 
wow i love your tank but how come in some of those pictured the water looked kin of reddish, is that just you camera?
 
I think that overcrowding does work with Americans just as it does with Africans. The major difference is that Americans are messier and require more wc's. If people are willing to do the work then the aggression can be alleviated by overcrowding IME.

thx, my camera stinks but I've managed to take ok pictures with it
The tree (or whatever it is, a root?) in my tank also changes the colour of the water for now
Then the background is also dirt-brown looking
 
I'm babysitting a monster for some friends of mine
this monster, gar?, is about 12 inches, anyone knows how big it will get?

Awesomely done!! Where are your other tanks? Would love to see them as well! Its lookin great for only being up for 10days!! Hope you don't have any crashes or the like! Great pleuthora of fishies as well!!:D
 
Thanks, I'm still not compleatly happy about my other tanks, still needs alot of work to do
I'll post pictures of them when I'm done

The drift wood in the tank releases tannins which lower the pH and tint the water.
