hi everyone, here is a pic of my 2.5 feet lech. It's no longer with me as I had to put it down 3 months ago due to old age.

thanks everyone for your kind comments. I don't know how old the fish was, but I've had it for 10 years. I got this fish out of a lake in Queensland, a guy who owned the property said he had a leichardti in his lake and it had alot of red on it, so I said I would like to buy it and he flew it down to Victoria for me. It was the best fish(wouldn't hurt a fly) I had tank mates with it that was a fraction of his size and always allowed me to pat it. I'm trying to contact that guy to see if he has anymore leichardti in his lake, wish me luck.
 
Steve, does your leichardti have particularly prominent spots? Only seen photos of really prominent leichardti spots.

wow. that one heck of an old lei. and 10 years old too. congrats for keeping an aro for so long. but its a pity you had to put it down.
