PICTURES OF BIG LIMA SHOVELNOSE!!!

I have never saw a big lima shovelnose.. If anybody has one please post a picture. I almost think that 15" is a joke....

it is in the photo section. i shoulda snapped some pics of the big one at seaworld sd. they got a nice 14"er atleast and it looks cool. imagine exactly how u see your lima acting, just bigger. still jumpy, stil skittish, just big lol.

Not the best pic; this guy is in a local aquarium Amazon display.....at least 24" maybe more.......

i didn't think lima's can grow that large. 16" at most i thought. 24" that is impressive

My LFS has one that is well over a foot. I might buy it in the near future. I'll measure it next time I'm there.

That lima has spots is it a hybrid?

though i can't find any scientific data on it, i think there are two distinct variants of the lima shovelnose, and one of them grows 24" while the other (more common) type is much smaller.

Just checked the dorsal area on my own Lima, and yes there are brown spots, cross checked this with Planet Catfish photos and yes spots again...here is the link....
