Pictures of my 14" male Otorongo Stingray that I got on Sunday

Just thought that I would post a couple of photos (sorry about the quality) of my new male Otorongo.

He has settled down fantastically well and after only being in the tank for 24 hours had 6 whole mussels and 3 raw king prawns yesterday and is really active up and down the sides of the tank etc.

You are right the last photo is from his old tank, just wanted to show his underside and my camera skills were not up to it.

Nice Ray.. I wish they didn't get so big.. How do you plan to accomodate for 30"+?

Ross' book lists max size at 60cm, so about 24". Still need a good size tank, but these guys max out at about the same size as a motoro. I've get a female castexi thats 22", though not the otorongo variant.

The only way is to build an indoor pond in my conservatory, 6' x 4' x 2' which is next years project!

Very nice ray! I hope to soon find another castexi to go with my female. I hope I can find one that looks as nice as yours
